I am going to try to incorporate these videos as part of my weight training routine. I am posting it so I can view it easily on my smartphone while I am at the gym


Day 1 (Push):

3 sets of dumbbell bench press 3-5reps

Pull:

3 sets of Dumbell Rows 3-5 reps (This works you're back muscles and will make your back and posture nice)

I've been slacking ... the weather is slowly changing here and I got the flu. Trying to get my mojo back ...wish me luck.

I have been slacking to . I said I wanted to start the workout schedule Monday. But I started just yesterday thursday. Oh well. :sadcam:

The new schedule does not seem to work for me. I am making adjustments. I amma try this

Saturday – At the gym, I will do cardio 20mins+ on elliptical machine. Weight training. Squats afterwards. Yoga class
Sunday – same as Saturday
Monday – same as Saturday.
Tuesday- Rest day.
Wednesday – Rest day
Thursday– At home , Cardio interval training on treadmill. Squats afterwards
Friday –Same as Thursday

Update.

Finally found a gym.. Yaaaay.. will start on Monday Inshaa Allah.. not sure how often I'll go, we'll see.
Recently started swimming again, will definitely keep this up.

Still drinking plenty of water but I need to cut down on eating out.. :down:
I've took packed lunch to work a few times just need to make it into something more regular Inshaa Allah.

I'll make updates once every two weeks.. I don't really come on here that often.

Thanks for the vids SS they were really useful.
Just need to draw up my own routine now.

Started the gym this week.. Went a couple of days. In shaa Allah my aim is to go at least 3 days a week.

Working out again feels great.
Also, discovered a new female only spa, with a pool, sauna and steam room not far from where I live.. I'll give them a visit on the weekend.

You are welcome ladies regarding the videos. Someone really awesome provided me with the videos. The Schedule that I am trying to implant for the weight training is this

Saturday- push , Squats
Sunday - pull, Squats
Monday - Legs, Squats and
eventually I will try to incorporate a Friday weight training.

To be honest the last couple of weeks have been tough. I changed my routine and I am not sticking to it. The difference is I am trying to work out at home and it's hard. No music no tv no inaction. At the gym there are all these distractions so I feel like I am not really exercising but at home I do. I am working on setting things up better at home :up: Going to make adjustments. :up:

For week 6 I think I worked out 2 or 3 times :? . I want to work out 5 times a week but I can't seem to get there
Saturday I had the best workout ever since joining the gym. It was cardio.yoga.cardio. wieghts.squats. I am going to try to replicate it on Sunday.


My Goals for Week 7 : My goal is to follow the schedule. If I miss a workout day I will try to make up for it on a rest day inshallah

Today I am working on how to clean up my diet. I need to eat less sugar. I thought my diet was good. but it's not. That's the goal for today since I am off work today. Also I am going to start making protein shakes

I got these items based on a post in this thread below. I found it helpful. I booked marked it a very long time ago. I am finally using this helpful post :clap: Thank you


This one is for the fellas and for anyone else that doesn't want a complicated post-work-out meal or just wants a quick, high protein breakfast. Throw together some milk, whey protein powder (gold standard doesn't have all the unnecessary junk most other brands have), some berries, oatmeal (complex carbs for gradually replenishing blood sugar & glycogen). Either a shaker or a blender works fine. Might want to boil the oats separately or if you can stomach it, just scoop 1/2 a cup in to your shaker/blender & chug it down with the other ingredients. It'll easily yield about 32 g of protein and probably around 300 cals.

Forgot the schedule. It's to rigid for me. And I am not following it . I give up :lol: . I just want to have fun. I am throwing the whole schedule nonsense out the door.

as long I am active and working out and eating right that is all that matters.

I tried some random things like a zumba dance class and a weight&cardio training class. I didn't like the zumba class. It was a good experience but it was hard on my legs and feet. I did a wieght training&cardio class yesterday Not bad. Might do it again. I am still doing yoga classes.

I tried the protein shake I posted this morning. Very Yummy. I am so not buying any more energy bars. I keep grabbing to many engery bars and eating them. SMH. Once i finish the 12 pack I am not buying it again. Protein shakes I prefer so much better. I also purchased a shaker bottle.

Anyways Ladies. I am off to the gym soon again :mrgreen:. I am actually really liking working out. Celebrate good times come on!

I've been working out 3 days a week at the gym.. liking it so far but I can see myself getting bored, maybe I need to switch it up.. :|

Diet is better then what it used to be but it still needs major improvements... need to do more research on this.
