Looks like she was selling Caano most likely. I remember going to the market sometimes to buy Milk and the nomadic women would have these kind of bottles called "Dhalo yareey" filled with milk, they sold the milk by the cups.

PS: You can also say it is dating in the open.

Reacher wrote:There are no Arab relations to the ethnic Somali. I have done DNA testing and my results along with those who took the same test came back as ethnically east African and Somali. Our lineage goes to 50, 000 years and more, that is 5 and zero millennia.

It speaks to ignorance when a Somali claims to be an Arab. I find such claims to be insulting.

This pic below is a screen capture I did long ago. It speaks for itself. Also, all the Somalis who participated in this DNA analysis were categorized as 2dn cousin, 3rd cousin, and 4th cousins to me by DNA. Even though these Somalis are not my relatives, and most submitted their blood from different corners of the world, we are all related by blood.

A proud Somali never calls himself Arab. If you have true relations to Arab blood, good for you, but Somalis have nothing to do with that in general.

Image

means nothing. the original carabs were practically east africans as well.

I think what you mean to say is that a proud Somali would not associate himself with the MODERN day arabized people who have usurped the original carabs.

Reacher gacaliye, that's it! Come to Hargeisa, bring me 20 camels, their weight in gold and I will introduce you to aabo and hooyo  (It's okay, I know you're loaded hehe) Sheeko kale majiro.

Zubeir, I know you had pure intentions, as you don't seem to carry cuuqdaad. Problem is, others do. By putting the tribe names on there (as you can see from some of the responses) you stand to offend some. Just because the original source had it, doesn't mean we need to keep repeating their mistakes.

Did you know just last week there was a big qabiil fight in Qorulugud where someone died. It happens often within tuulos where there is still a fight for control, instead of learning to coexist. By perpetuating the idea of qabiil, we are allowing the next generation to continue the mistakes of our fathers and grandfathers. Qabiil may be fun to talk about, and to identify with, but do you know how real it is for some somalis? That they are still killing eachother over it? It's a true shame.

Have you heardddd the youth of today talking about other tribes, as though if they had the power, they'd wipe them out? Why do you think?

I agree with Reacher, that some things, are just better left unsaid. Also, mentioning the midgaan tribes? - there is a huge negative connotation regarding the name. You think they chose it for themselves? Do you know what midgaan means? lol, No, they were given this name and beautiful/wealthy/intelligent as they can be, they can't marry into other tribes because they are made to be the lowest of our society. I feel sorry for them. And any 'untouchables' of any society. I too would like to know what their real tribe name was.
