The reason you know those 2 is because Hardawi is still alive and is used by SLanders as a national symbol of sorts and Boodheri literally died broken hearted, that is one in a million. Can't speak for others but I don't call my brothers aboow/aboowe unless I am being sarcastic. I actually call people I'm not related to abaayo/aboowe more than I do my own siblings.

It's not necessarily to do with shukaansi, it depends who says it, how they say it and who they're saying it to.

If you're trying to get someone to calm down or see your point of view, if you're trying to get something from them, if it has just become a part of your lingo like some of the guys here mentioned.
