I asked her why? after beating around the bush she tells me she is in love with a mutual friend and is working hard to provide a future for em. I don't think I've ever been more sad seeing a young, innocent haliimo diving straight off a cliff.
A) the mutual friend is a partyhead, doesn't really work.
B) has alcohol issues
C) she pays for his car's note with the 2nd job
D) he sleeps with anything with a pulse
I tried my best to advice her but at the end of the day, she will do exactly the opposite and end up a statistic.
Girls biggest enemy is this thing called love.
She sounds like a good sister maa shaa Allah. Why don't you marry her yourself Advo?

Seriously though walal...

Embarrassing?
That is such a loaded word. Why should what other people think dictate how you live?
Rightwing, now I know why this Hawdian guy gets a free pass

I am 100% certain if he said half the things he says about reer Konfur and Hawiye about reer wuqoyi and Isaaq he wouldn't last a day. Such a shame.

Co sign

You've emboldened his last, offensive sentence and cosigned it? War ninyahow maxaa ku helay qof macquul ah ayaad ahayd e?
If this is the case with the current Somalinet (where Mods not only turn a blind eye to such low-blows but also take part in them), what about if it is turned into an open platform with no rules and regulations where everyone says whatever they want to whoever they without any repercussions from the "mods" and the admin?
This is Twist by the way and I am really disappointed, Rightwing.

OP,
First of all, Why should a woman feel embarrassed about being a divorcee and not a man? I mean they are both active participants in the marriage, right?
Secondly, marriages fail for many many reasons and implying women are always at fault for not knowing how to ‘keep’ a man is just laughable. There are lots of women, who leave their husbands because he doesn’t fulfill his part of the agreement. Should they feel embarrassed about wanting a second chance and trying their luck with someone else who is worthy of them?
Thirdly, men are not pets, hence why the success of a marriage does not depend on a woman’s ability to ‘keep’ a man (I’m not even sure what that means), unless he is a fool perhaps. Successful marriage depends on many other factors and takes a lot of work from both sides.
Lastly, I do agree with you on the point that one should be careful of who they get married to and shouldn’t rush into things. However don’t be quick to judge these girls, you don’t know the circumstances of their failed marriages.
Every couple face different challenges, some are lucky others not and face major dilemmas.
