The madness that is Somalinet Forum and its diverse mix of individuals is what makes it so Somali! No laws exist, its a free for all and the Mods are party to the chaos.

Wouldn't you a find a guy who says "gacaliso/macaaney/blah blah blah" when he's trying to court you, kinda sleazy?

Maybe when I start having late night convos I might feel differently but theoretically I am with Osman though the one who smacks your bottom needs a punch in the face

What you need to do is talk about the contract of your relationship, whisper about the clauses and terms of agreement :lawd:

Jasmine. Let's assume that he is already yours and has already discussed the mehir and aabo situation macaaney. He is not saying hi macaaney for the first time.

A man who assumes that because he is yours, he doesn't have to work on the shukansi game anymore. :D

I couldn't stand it if I'm being honest. What? Constant "macaneey"? It sounds sarcastic or retarded or mechanical

Wouldn't it sound sweeter when used sparingly during crucial moments. Can you imagine a guy who is very light on the usage and then in the middle of a heated arguments he said in a low, calm voice "LoveAlways, gacaliso please try to understand where I'm coming from" *faints*

Evol, forget all these negative, savage neanderthal spoilers!

Terms of endearment are the bedrock of a beautiful relationship. Without it, love withers away like the leaves on a tree at the onset of autumn.

I say this as a hopeless romantic that writes soppy poems to my love interest so I guess that makes me a biased contributor to this thread.

I don't see what is not universal about being sweet. Affection can be shown in many ways. Drawing me pictures, singing little somali songs to me, calling my macaaney and hayati and when the time comes for other fun, that is welcome as well. Doesn't mean macaaney is the only way to get to a woman.

I think you're taking my thread idea here as a be-all-end-all. Nevermind.

Yes deeqa...Gacalyso >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Babe.
Evolsyawla, if you truly believe half of what you wrote above, you were obviously born into the wrong society. With us , the majority of Faaraxs, (specially those of us who were born and bread in the wild and often unforgiving climes of Mudug hinterland) uttering anything that may in anyway, shape or form construed as a term of endearment, is unnatural as conceding a point or god forbid compromising with a rival qabiil. It is simply ain't gonna happen! I know this may not bode well with some of our Western raised xaliimos sisters here but at the same, is it not a bit unfair to ask one to basically change his/her very nature?
