All I am arguing is that you accept this a Somali forum and an Islamic or traditional view on the role of women in society does not cause a furore. Nothing new here. Digile&Mirfle are assortment of none Somali tribes who united to form a much larger group so as to defend themselves. The Ogaden bar a few like the Reer Isaaq are majority assimilated Oromos. This is based on the fact they couldn't have multiplied that quickly in the most barren region of Somalia and fight at the same time to win all that land. Wars cost life's and the more wars, the more life's you will lose. The most clear example of them not being Somali is the Doqonimo or retiredness they all posses. Sexism is a western concept not a universal ideology so stop upholding it as some established form of discrimination across the world. In my society, we mainly adhere to Islamic and cultural ideas on gender roles. Women can lead fulfilling lives outside their home but the general concensus among Islamic scholars and our cultural norms is that they are primarily homemakers and mothers. So every time you use the word 'sexist', you are indirectly stating that the Deen is wrong for identifying the diverse roles that males and females have in a household. Now please, think carefully before you type, you speak impulsively.
