All I said was the border the farming clans on the Somali/Ethiopian border and the adjacent Jijiga area share a similarity to their Oromo neighbours. Now that does not mean they are all like them. Dude, you are right about the Gurgura and other Dir clans in Ethiopia, a lot are bilingual and have dual identities.

You assume there is a one distinct Somali phenotype and the truth is there is not one. People in Ceel Macaan look relatively different than someone from Wajale. Similarly there is no one Oromo look. The Oromos that the border clans resemble and I am referring to are the Hararghe zone ones and half of them are Somali in origin.

Red Sea Coast Somalis are notorious for being dark.

Camel herding Somalis in the Hawd are known for their tall stature and relatively fair skin tone. Hence, why the women of the reer Caynashe/Sugulle, Maxamed Zubeyr etc are noted for their beauty.

Reer Mudug are known for being short but possessing soft hair.
