Somalis and Alcohol.

Cadaan folks consume alcohol to relax and unwind, while Somalis drink it to get pumped up and act tough.

Most Somalis didn't grow up seeing alcohol in their fridges or storage rooms. They don't go to wine tasting retreats or collect 50yrs old scotchs

They consume immediately however many bottles they buy at the liquor store.

The drink alcohol the same way the chew khat.

It is rare to see a Somali who has a bar in his crib.

It never occurred to me to even try it. A year ago at work there was a raffle ticket for some charity and with that ticket I won a price which turned out to be a 6 bottle carton of wine worth $150 and I gave it to my white co-workers. The look on their faces when they realized I never had an alcohol drink in my life. lol

I don't drink, smoke or chew Qat and I have never even been to a nightclub in my life.

The fact that Somalis drink hard liquor like water doesn't bother me, it's the fact that Somalis post pics of themselves posing with a bottle (that probably 10 or more ppl pitched in to pay for) flexing like they've accomplished something. If you're gonna drink, keep that shit to yourself and don't embarrass yourself or your fams.

alcahol is mother of all evils. drunkers, i dont see them as bad people, they try to cover up some pain. i found somali drinkers are nicest people, shy and noble when they are sobar.

Seeing Somalis buying packs of beers and wine is an ugly sight.
