I personally don't find her sexy or entertaining but I can imagine there being people who find her both (my brother does) . So she filling a void and providing some light entertainment just like the many millions of other ista uses. Furthermore why should she feel responsible for the state of Mogdisho's residents? She's just reporting about her life experience in a positive way.

She works as a "civil servant" for the government according to the article about her in the daily mail. So she works as volunteer civil servant or takes a salary and takes pictures all day.?

I like her. She's seems lively and through her animations, people outside of Somalia could see that it isn't exactly all death and despair in Xamar.

Ugaaso's civil service is very much appreciated. Everyone I know who moved back or visited Xamar has fallen in love with it and the spirit of it's people. It definitely has a long way ahead but nonetheless lovely to see and show the world it's not all despair.
