A non hijaabi "Salafi" on a date.

Anyways you have to eat a certain way in front of people. Personally I get something small but get something substantial to eat when I'm alone. Those cadaans and non Africans are more into the design of the food rather than quantity. Its art.

The truth is the portions these restaurants give you are usually suitable as a snack or an appetizer. Go to these places with people with the expectation that you are going to replace your granola bar

Plus the OP is from England so the portions there are even smaller. Last August I went with fams to this Lebanese restaurant, and the waiter comes and gives us the menu. I didn't understand any of it so I just ordered a chicken shawarma plate. It was 15 pounds so I had Palace portions in my mind. The waiter comes brings out a plate that's half empty and no complementary pita bread. I ask the waiter where tf is the pita, he's like with a confused face it's 4 pounds extra :mindblown:

OP: next time ask your date to take you to a Somali restaurant, and order a sports plate for yourself :eat:
The best part of Somali restaurants: no tipping expected :blessed:

I once was at a random restaurant and I was paying with debit. The waitress gave me the interac machine and I was like "how do I get off the tipping screen? Thanks" :damn:

I only tip if I'm with a lady :win:

I'm heading here when I come back to O.T for a visit this year.

England food portions are what I call taste tests. You are paying top pound to see if the food the chef has made is ready or if there needs to be extra salt added. Inyar ee damdam sii is what it is.

No refills either. You're better off eating at your edos house

LOL that's a stupid tradition, what if he wasn't hungry?
It was automatically assumed he was sick. He had to finish food or forget the girl.

:dead:

Don't go to the one on Carling, it's actually garbage. The one on Rideau is the best, but hard to find a seat. The one in South Keys is legit as well

And yeah I lose weight whenever I go to England  probably has more to do with the fact that I'm walking everywhere than it has to do with the food portions

Personally the only time I eat appetizer and dessert is when I go on a date.

Now if you had a habit of eating two meals every date :damn:

PO, Somalis have created a nickname for people like Sienna who eats 2x dishes: Hana soo marin. In other words, please don't come back. Besides, you're right, traditionally, it is shameful for a guy to question the food the lady is eating; but the problem is the guy is a foreigner, and could be a tyrone. You know the tufaax aka apple meher is next

He's an Arab so you're crazy for going on a date with him and even crazier for being surprised that he insulted you.

I don't even know what to say lol

Sometimes a girl's hungry, but to be honest, the way guys are nowadays, he wouldn't have has a problem (I think) if you paid for the second plate yourself lol

Did he say that playfully, or was it that awkward type of comment. If the latter, I would not go out with him again. :)

He said it in a jokey way but I took it dead serious lol and I did make that clear to him. I did offer to pay but tbh he's them type of guys he gets offended if you offer to pay as if you insulted his manlyhood.
