Yes it is a choice. Hence why you see homosexual activity in American prisons....bring committed by men who are otherwise straight. So it is a choice to be gay.

And even if it wasn't a choice....so what? Are we so backwards that we act on our own impulses and fail to exercise self-restraint? I know of people who are attracted to their own mothers (through no fault of their own). Should they be permitted to pursue such a relationship and if not, why not?

This tired argument again. Male on male sexual violence is a form of social dominance as old as humanity, it has nothing to do with sexual orientation. There is no hate, there is only reality, words like love and hate are subjective to human societies, what one society loves, another might hate, with that being said I do not commit myself to subjective truths. Back to the topic, marriage is the very reason why the human species prospered, through it we became families, tribes, clans and whole nations that all have a motherland.

America on the other hand is a melting pot so it is to be expected that they of all nations permit this sort of thing, every child has a right to know it's biological parents, even in the Qur'an Allah orders the believers to not give adopted children their adopted parent's surnames, but the backward-melting pot that is the west today says otherwise.

Every human being should have the freedom to do what they wish with their personal lives, be it perusing their desires or perusing a higher purpose, but shoving a idea such as gay marriage constantly through all forms of communication is in fact a agenda, and I have every right to disagree with it.

Selection can act on it, but that doesn't mean it's origin and occasional cropping up in various species lies in a selective advantagee and I don't see why there is this obsession to try and find one. It's pretty obvious that even if we can concieve of one, it would be extremely circumstantial and rare.
