I've met a lot of soldiers while abroad and they literally are chatting up young women day and night when not on duty and they pack up the night clubs looking for hookers, disgusting behaviour. She's with him for the insurance, I'm guessing. The worst part is the kid being in the same space as a hook-up, he could take advantage of the drunken state of the mother and harm the kid. Were you out and about near military bases and hanging out with white friends?

I am not defending this bitch who, instead of taking care of her three year old daughter, is getting smacked, but we, Somalis, should stop taking things at face value. The story is much different than how this vet depicts. Apparently the couple have been separated for a while and there has been a divorce process going in courts initiated by the wife.

Its hard to miss military folk when they're abroad, they're loud like to blow steam off by taking drugs and being chatty, they aren't CIA so they'll tell you what their job is, especially the African Americans. When I was younger, I did not always wear hijab and the people I went away with were ajanabi.... Nightclubs and bars are in every hotspot, if you sit in a cafe, sometimes a nightclub will be opposite you. Try going to places like Sinai, they have American troops deployed there all the time because of its proximity to Israel and everything is pretty much in the same place. I tend to hang out in late cafe's even in London and I can see the comings and goings of every club in Soho from my coffee shops.
