bloody mildew/ mould is a bitch, i'm glad you don'thave that problem hyper.

our house is brand new, just built. there are good mold cleaning products. after you clean it few times.... try to sand it and use good quality paint.

i asume mold is worse in the winter with moise and humunity. use tea tree oil. i use it religiously with my cleanings. baking soda and white viniegar.
