Re: Somali Harari wedding
I know about this place waa magaalo cilmiga lagubaran jirey and people from all over used to visit that place to study the diin. My Grandfather went to Harar when he was young and became a Sheikh there after living for many years and he met his wife there.Hyperactive wrote:my family have been hararis for generation. it used to be Islamic booming for 3ilm. birth [place of my father and my grandfathers. last time I visited in 2014 was place for qaat transit!! it has changed a lot.somaliler wrote:Lots of Absame have Harari Reer Awoowe including moi . you visited recently miyaa?? Xaalkeyda kawaran. are there many Somalis remaining there? and how did it change? do you mean by demographics or do you mean it is no longer an Islamic center of the Horn?

Re: Somali Harari wedding
well, growing up, ive heard harar more than I heard Somalia cause there were my peeps used to go and had connections. every time I go to Ethiopia there were I spend most of my times. and yes not as Islamic city as used. people became more nationalists than religious. also qaat killed the city!!
if you go to city early morning all you see is tracks unloading their qaat and people fight to get it to resale it. still there are minority religious crcle but majority aren't.

More emotional BS. This is what you call "debating" lol. Like I said earlier, you think way too highly of yourself.LiquidHYDROGEN wrote:Keep projecting, dipshit. That was your last chance to prove you're not a total retard. You still haven't answered the question I asked from the other thread. Moving the goalpost entails changing the discourse. I haven't changed my stance or my question. You can't even answer a straight question, which I simplified for you. This is last time I will address you.
It is quite evident I struck a chord when I highlighted the brutal reality of Somalis. Enjoy bragging about a people who devote an entire hour of TV runtime to cadaan nobodies just because he happens to know three words of Somali. Such great pride

Did I say that I'm proud of everything that Somalis do? Or that our community doesn't have many problems that we need to fix? Just because I don't subscribe to your defeatist attitude it does not mean that my head is buried in the sand sxb. I am fully aware of our problems. I just don't attribute them to some inherent inferiority within our people.
One thing is for sure though: the solution to our problems is not going to come from people like you who only know how to degrade, insult and wallow in self pity. We need constructive people not inferiority complex-ridden dogs who only know how to bark from the sidelines.

What true colors? I was cracking some harmless jokes. You don't see me calling for genocide against your tribe or referring to your women as whores like some of your cousins do here. When some members in here make fun of the fishermen in our tribe, I don't take it seriously. It's just harmless banter. There's a difference between that and spewing hateful rhetoric. I have certain limits that I do not cross.TheGrumpyGeeljire wrote:Rageedi is beginning to show his true colours.
You people need to check your priorities walle. The way some of you talk in this forum, you would think we were from a different race.

No one is calling for genocide, don't let the knuckleheads on this website get to you. I am vehemently against the foul language that some of my clansmen appear to be using. Just don't let them make you stoop to their level.Raganimo wrote:What true colors? I was cracking some harmless jokes. It appears some people here have alot of bottled up negative frustrations and demeaning view of their own. You say anything positive or good about Somalis and watch it be instantly referred to as an act of romantics or bias. The consistent effort in trying to take away from glorifiying Somalis in any way. It is suddenly a crime to speak favorably about your own kind.Raganimo wrote:

Which is a problem, because No self-determined people in history have presented the bad side of their face as a representation of who they are.

They don't know the difference between constructive, objective criticism and just venting out your own personal frustrations.TheMightyNomad wrote:It appears some people here have alot of bottled up negative frustrations and demeaning view of their own. Their rants are nothing but a reflection of their own insecurity and inferiority complex. It's all about them.

The girl in the video identifies as a Habesha, check the comments.Raganimo wrote:They hate to be called "habesha". Their culture is also very distinct from habesha culture. They are good people.Khalid Ali wrote:hararis are nothing but habashi muslims their language is identical to amharic have u ever been to harar. today there is no war between amhaara and adari no religious tensions at all.
Every single sub-Habesha group has a distinct culture.
Harari is like 75% similar to Amharic, it is nowhere near close to Somali and it is a Semitic language, not Cushitic. Stop begging it to every damn ethnic group.
Re: Somali Harari wedding
Somalis claim everything under the sun as their own clan. The girl is the video is mixed herself. The real Hararis were like Xamar cad cads. The old real Harar city had gates and wall all around the city. Now the city spread , new buildings had been erected outside the city-wall mostly by Oromos and claiming themselves of being Hararis. Bililiqadu meel walba wey gaadhay.
Soomaaliduna dakii fake ahaa bey ku dagaalamayaan waa reerkayaga, maya waa reerkayaga.
