Harti are the largest sub clan in Somaliland, or are at least equal to the largest sub clan (HY). Somaliland had a good chance at independence in the early 2000s where even the Pentagon were willing to consider recognizing Somaliland if the African Union went first. However, due to their corrupted government, they've even failed that.
Today, Somaliland's campaign in their Eastern border is based on military occupation on the largest sub clan (Harti). If they continue like this, Somaliland (or Isaaq land) will simply become a federal state and they will lose everything. In 1960, all Isaaq made up only roughly 58 % of Somaliland's MP, and today they make up 90 % and run all the political parties. They can only blame themselves. Just look at the members here who advocate clan cleansing potentially 1m people, it's a failed project.

Isaaq won Ceerigaabo, Xiis, Ceelafweyn.
