Its not going to make sense to you because your whole fundamental understanding of the situation is way off. Who said we’re talking about Marehan politics? Is Farmaajo SNF commander? Farmaajo as much as you despise him is currently the President of Somalia and just so happens to be Marehan. If every Somalis end game to become President is to put their clan on top, then we’re clearly doomed. If that makes Farmaajo dumb that, that’s not his primary objective then I salute him.


Now with MJ I’ll be 100% honest there is a part of me that WISHES we were more like you, and I low key admire how when you get national leadership positions i.e President, PM, you use it as springboard to propell Majerteen. There is a part of me that just admires the hustle. This does come with a drawback however as it leads to lots of distrust, and skepticism from even the ordinary NON politician Somali. Case in point Dhusamareeb. I guarantee you that under a Majerteen President if a the SNA deployed into Dhusamareeb to facilitate GalMudug elections, every Habar Gedir man, woman and child would have picked up a gun fought to the very last man against that. I think even you would admit that. With Farmaajo there was a trust factor and it was not viewed as a ‘Marehan invasion’ because as we don’t use national positions for our benefit. You might say ‘Oh it’s because you guys are harmless and not a threat to Hawiye’ but is it the job of a Somali President to be threatening to ANY Somali qabil?


So to sum it up, Farmaajo’s goal is to implement his, and his Government’s vision from Baydhabo to Raas Casaayr to Ras Kambooni to Awdal slowly but surely. You might say that’s a stupid futile pursuit and that’s completely your prerogative, but at least understand the intentions for what they are, as silly as you may think they are.


As Marehan who are the nights watch of Somalia manning the Western borders, I benefit from a strong Somalia and less interference from Ethiopia/Kenya.

-Somalia becoming debt free and able to get access to grants, loans benefits me

-NOT listening to the AU, Kenya and negotiating the maritime dispute but instead playing hardball might help Somalia down the road gain access to generational wealth. I know many times of situations where Kenya told Farmaajo we’ll stop hosting Madoobe let’s negotiate, and Farmaajo told them buzz off.

-Building a effective, skilled army with age limits, real training benefits me as a Somali

It's true that you had no MPs from the jubbas. Correct me if I am wrong. But I am not sure if you had one or two from mudug.
