In fact there never was. It was always between other parties: Isaq against the State; Hawiye clan against Siyad Barre; rural Ceydid with Habr Gedir against the urban Abgal. The myth of Hawiye Darood conflict was always that - a myth.

And I think for history and hope that is a good thing.

Galol: I know saxiib. I remember how a young revolutionary cousin of mine @ Lafoole University who fought against Afweyne was very disgusted when he saw CabdiQassim Salat Hassan in Xamar. Why ? He was revolted that AFweyne's stooges of the Hawiye clan were still around and now seeking power in the USC while men like his Professor a Darood who hated Afweyne had to flee.

Isaaq against the State = Wrong; Isaaq against Daarood = Right Answer

Hawiye clan against Siyaad Barre = Wrong. Hawiye Against Daarood = Right Answer. If their quarrel was with Siyaad Bare why did they slaughter thousands upon thousands of Daaroods.

Galol, How about Autonomy? or Autonomy-ism. The party that will eliminate the practice of full dependency on Clan/religion. It will effectively devise measures that will deploy notions in People's minds that clan is not their life. Autonomy-ism advocates for building one's own wealth and education for everybody. Oh yeah it also advocates planting tree and restorig our natural rescources.

I only told the truth. I had the same argument with Galool long time ago. I am not gonna let him get away with misinformation. He lost that argument badly too.

Cilimile, I'm not agreeing with you, infact disagreeing. I don't think it was ever really a Darood vs Hawiye. Or even Isaaq Vs Darood. I believe the USC and the people of Hargeisa were opposing Siad Barre alone not with Darood.

So why was Abyan murdered?

So why was the designer of the Somali Flag Maxamed Cawaale Liibaan beaten and tortured when he was found inside a jail; a jail he was sent to by Siyaad Barre.
