Cawar waa bachelor kaboole ah oo gurigiisa markaat so gasho kab iyo sharabaat uraya sanka kugu dhufanaya! Laughing Laughing

Cawar, ninyow ileyn shidaarada ma taqaanid . Is there no somali restaurant in your town? you should've bought laba nafar oo bariis ah iyo a couple of sides of meat, then simply reheat it in one of two pots about a half hour before the anticipated arrival, just so that the smell permeates the place. This would have saved you the hastle, the time and most importantly, it would have raised your stock considerably with your mate, I may wrong but I don't think that your cali besteen girl is looking for a qorqode, however I'm sure she'd appreciate your ingenuity. Besides, doing it yourself might be cute but then I hope you got some pepto bismol in your medecine cabinet!

I am going to assume you are just trying to put some food on the table as quickly as possible.

If you don't want to have to dry your rice out in the oven, measure your liquid, two cups for every cup of rice. We use an oriental rice cooker for fastest and most reliable results.

For pilaf (rice cooked with broth) we often use canned chicken broth or other prepared bullion. I know it is available kosher, not sure it it available halal.

One of the small pressure pots will quickly tenderize even the toughest meat. Wait until it is almost done before putting the veggies in.
