Samatr,

Isaaq people are wrongheaded and confused. We are trying to do you a favour and help you think clearly and gain an appreciation of the nuances of the Somali conflict. No one is ganging up on you. Frankly we feel sorry for you.

The best place to start on your healing process is to stop resenting Daarood and remove spite and hatred from your thinking.

Maxamed Aadan Sheekh was an intelligent dude. He was a Gramscian marxist and was for a time the chief ideologue of the Somali socialist party. I think he succeeded the Cabdiraxmaan Caydiid, the diehard dhulbahante communist in that job.

I knew Maxamed Aadan sheekhs kids Kooshin and the cute tiny girl[/quote]

According to USC Caydiid's little book written by the Indian chick (its on the web), Col Ali Mataan Haashi's military combined with Maxamed and couple other Marehan intellectual's support was the reason Siad Barre beat out the rest of his co-coup members.

"Besides this, he chose three intellectuals of his tribe, who were secretly working for him in evolving the political system and the future policy. They were spreading his communist ideas. The chief among them was a well-known communist named Mohammed Aden who had received his education in Italy and obtained a Doctorate of Pediatrics (Medicine)."

Samatr,

I don't know, I would have to ask........but my point was that it wasn't a Qabiil hierarchy......my dad's boss was an Isaaq guy.

If you were Marexaan and you wanted to overthrow Siad Barre, you would be thrown into jail as well.

You're on the forum, you see where all the Karbaashes happening......where is this myth of Daroodnimo

I have said before I have no hate for any clan even Daarood for obvious reasons. On the other hand I can't say the same for other Somalis who are Isaaq/Hawiye/Daarood. You really can't say Isaaq are confused or wrong headed because a whole clan does not think the same, everybody behaves differently. I never said anything about people ganging up on me or Isaaqs for that matter. If anybody is getting ganged up on right now its definitely not Isaaqs, I can assure you of that.

The best way for you to start your healing process is to stop distorting history, realize that Yey won't be chilling in Xamar any time soon.

Cilmiile,

Mxmd Siad Barre truly believed in non-Qabiil ideology......in fact he wanted to eradicate it, that's what this whole Marxism was supposed to eradicate.

My dad told me of the Marexaan guys that were jailed or disciplined when they acted out of line.

Somalis just weren't ready for it.

You just have to realize that somethings aren't going to happen, Yey won't be chilling Xamar, ICU won't pass Gaalkacyo, Somaliland won't get recognized any time soon.
Yey wouldn't be a threat to a fly with one wing, nothing scary about that. Laughing

Samatr,

Isaaq think collectively and all repeat the same ole refrain we were killed and we were abused and we were raped.

All Somalis killed each other, just move along.

And Cabdilaahi Yuusuf will go to Xamar. And Somalia will come into being.

But I still wont go back to Xamar. I will be putting my money in my land. And whatever aid or loans Somalia gets I will be asking the government to give me my share so I can build Roads and Hospitals and airports and Water systems in my land too.

Xamar aint gonna get all the development loot.

^^^ Cilmiile, Federalism seems like a good strategy for Somalia.

This 3rd world mentality of building the capitol only makes people power hungry.

Somalis are wary of centralized control. The government should be a non-intrusive lightweight manager

Somaliland will not get on the international agenda until there is a Somalia. A referendum will have to be held there before Somaliland can secede. Organized and agreed to by the Authority of Somalia. And even before the Referendum can take place a conference must sort out the terms of reference for the referedum. Where will it be held; What constitutes a winning Majority; Does there have to be a majority in every single region of the territory.

This is a very involved and difficult process that wont come about because of the fantasy and wishful thinking of an aggrieved small minority tribe in Somalia.

If you are really determined on it you will get your wish as the state of Isaaqland comprising the land east of Caynaba and Ceerigaabo Minust Buuhoodle district. The Samaroons will likely unite with Jabuuti.

And Before long the Various Habro will be at each other's throats. If there is one thing an Isaaq Habar hates more than other Somalis, it is one of the other Isaaq Habars.
