If whats hers is your and vice versa...then you don't need to beg. You will also be teaching your girls/boys an important lesson about a woman's worth. I do however, I agree with you that we need not to lose our Islamic principle about family structure. Its important to bring up a family the Islamic way, I know I will.

Not according to the Great State of Maryland Family Court. I would be entitled to 50% of her income as alimony, along with child support & residual income for supporting her through school.
