Ofcourse ive seen Battle Royal, im a Japanophile after all,
but the inspiration was the Olympic games, if you examine them they are nothing but millitary exercises.
and those were not kids, i believe a 13 year old is a full adult, and that society extends childhood beyond the necessary.
The entire educational sysetem is designed to keep children , children and out of society without resposiblity, when they are by the that age intellectually quite capable, and i believe developing countries cannot afford this.

Prag these are the usuall excuses used to keep young adults out of society,
developing countries cannot afford to, the same way they cannot afford to lock up women in the household.
