goodshepherd, i think starkast is just misunderstood.
he is a staunch unionist and he'll do whatever he can to keep

together.
theoriginaldervish, we welcome the prosperity and stability of mogadishu and a unified federal govt.
however, if things go bad in mogadishu politically, economically and socially, then the balkanization of somalia will be inevitable.
currently, the "federal govt" is powerless. somalia has not had a government that controls the entire country since 1991 till present.

However i do agree that Hawiye can not rule anything apart from a isbaaro as seen from the last 25 years.
That said the future of our race depends on our unity. Also i do somewhat support the semi autonomous nature of SL & PL & JL, however this also benefits our enemies outside of Somali lands. Balkanization would be a direct win for them.
I guess i'm misunderstood because i'm not a sheep sxb.

True unity is in Islam, nothing else can bring Somalis together. This is a fact.

president gaas and his administration in puntland have 5 years to...
1. to deal with the border issue, meaning bringing laascaanood and eastern ceerigaabo back into puntland. essentially securing puntland's unity.
2. deal with the federalism issue with mogadishu and making sure the mogadishu administration/s follow the constitution that was agreed upon
3. create a multiparty system in order to hold a one-man-one-vote by next elections.
4. increase puntland's gdp and bring heavy investment into puntland
5. build government infrastructure throughout puntland's major cities and towns.

seriously, do you guys think he will manage to get this 5 things done by the end of his term?
president madoobe and his administration in jubbaland have 4 years to...
1. unify jubbalanders
2. liberate areas in jubbaland under al shabab control.
3. create the parliament and other government institutions
4. extend jubbaland's governmental authority across all districts in jubbaland.
5. bring investments to jubbaland and increase jubbaland's gdp.
the madoobe administration can probably do this

Why are there so many bloody IDPs in Bosaaso? Abihiin iyo hoyadiin wasa ee go back to your huts in Baydhabo. This is our land. There should be a population count in Puntland and all the useless foreigners should be kicked out. When our parents were fleeing the south (90's) simply because they didn't belong no f*cking D&M sheltered or helped us, why are they flocking to our land today? They don't owe us shit. There is like 200,000 of them or more apparently. Iv'e seen estimates as much as 350,000 which is mind-boggling.
Majority of them beg and stuff as well. My cousin was talking to me about how each shop in Bosaaso has a particular set amount of cash or things to distribute daily to certain IDPs (almost like a canshuur/tax lol) who only live to beg, others live in makeshift camps surviving on UN aid, well cunt you can do that in bloody Baydhabo or whatever the hell you come from. Why in Puntland? I'm sick of it all, I really am.
Gonna talk to some of my relatives back home (some of them ministers) about this.

i agree with you 100%.
this 200,000 non-darod idp will quadruple in size in the next 15 years, if they're allowed to stay.
they've taken over the jobs.
it's now or never. the gaas administration need to deport back all idp back to the capital (mogadishu).
let mogadishu and their administration in baydhaba deal with them.
chinaman, please do so. i want to contact the government ministers too and shine a light on this epidemic.

Some southies actually work hard and are respected across Dal Udug. They have their own business and pay taxes and do no harm to the locals. I've been to Bosaaso and Garowe both and seen it with my own eyes.

garoweboy, those that contribute to the wellbeing of puntland and jubbaland are welcomed.
but, when you have 200,000 non-darod idp that simply live in camps, waiting for un aid, it's a problem.
they can do that in their native lands, where 40,000 amisom troops will be protecting them.
those 200,000 will become 400,000 within 10 years, then 600,000 and continue increasing.
