I met some white people in Toronto who asked if I was Ethiopian and I said no. They told me they recently went to Ethiopia. They were like we went to the Ogaden region. I was like WTF are these two elderly white folks in there 60's doing in Somali Galbeed.

A few summers ago I was in Tdot and there was this elderly Italian man who knew my uncle and he was going to the coffee shop to "Chat w/ my Somali brothers..." my uncle did medschool in Italy so he knew Italian.....

It's amazing how white ppl can just be so comfortable all over the world..........it's an admirable trait

That's inspirational, because i'm working my ass off now because I plan on spending a signifigant amount of time over there in the next year or so, insha'allah. Personally, I feel more at home amongst other cultures than I do my own. Both Canadian and Italian cultures.

I didnt start hanging out with Somalis until College wallahi. They were nowhere to be found prior to that.
