Somaliland has a better chance of recognition then the ONLF of getting independence at it's current framework. That is the sad and ugly truth.

It doesn't make me sleep better. I would much prefer Ogadenia being liberated and Somaliland never getting recognised.

Point taken. Somalis are Ignorant and bunch of haters sometimes so I wont be suprised if they turn each others in to the amxaar. Dangirl what the ONLF needs to do is to educate these somalis about this movement and show them that this actually something that need to be done. This regime wont be in power but if they fall and another one takes over the rules wont loosen abit, better yet they will become tighter and more strict. I believe that If the Somali Galbeed gain reco, then shit will hit the fan between the clans there.[/quote]
This is not a session of educating the people on why the ONLF is their best choice; it is a matter of freedom, peace, security and prosperity.People need to understand that if ONLF is built on clan ideology(as many believe so) it would have been gone long time ago .ONLF is an Organization united by an ideology, not a clan.
Hopefully,we wouldnt head that path if the regime falls. Its most likely that civil war will break out in Ethiopia.Thats our best chance to claim independence.

I am appalled and angered by Liqaaye’s comments. For the past several months, there have been many talks between ONLF and the Somaliland administration in order to bring the two people closer. I shouldn’t be saying this, but there are top ONLF officials in Hargaisa today meeting with Riyaale and his administration. They, the Somaliland administration, sensed that Ethiopia and Af-Biijo have other agendas in mind for Somaliland and decided to directly deal with the only legitimate establishment in the Ogadenia. Saaxiib I am shocked Walaahy your mentality is like that. Have you noticed that none of the Absame forum members here have any negative feelings towards your people?
And who told you that Gaashaamo has a high school?
As for other Somali clans in Ethiopia, the Tigrean are experts in Somali politics and how to divide and conquer Somalis by using their weakest point; the clan. See how they are using Harti Abgaal and Majerteen in occupying Somalia and it is no different in Ogadenia.

If only Ogaden unite Ogadenia our land would back to us. But Ogadens like of Somalis are divided and the enemy knows well how to use our division.
VIVA ONLF.

Some guys in this thread are sick and very stupid, you all need some serious therapy, what the hell, you all turn on Dan because she happens to support a group of people that want to liberate Somalis from colonization. I mean Ogadenia is Somali, why doesn’t that fact move any of you, Ethiopia is killing, raping, burning and oppressing Somalis, clan waaxay? And what does it have to do with this situation, basic human nature stands against oppression and domination in the most brutal ways…But Somalis Cajib
LiQaaye_TDH: site down and beg your oppressor for some schools and peace?? Horta adigan maaxa kaa diiman, You forgotten all about SNM? What is ‘your people’ and ‘my people’ issue? Get your mentality straight, ‘them and us’ only applies to shytan and Humans..
Eyeonly is right you sound like you have a ‘slave mentality’
Somaliness needs a total annihilation so we can became oblivious to anything ‘us’ and them’ or remotely clan and family.
