Any wars prosecuted by Republicans (before Bush Jr) are short, decisive and with clearly defined parameters. A good example would be the First Gulf War with Bush Sr. The War on Terror, or smashing 'Allahs Boys' hardly fulfils any of these criteria, unfortunately.
