let me tell you something real quick---sometimes if you put certain words together they can lead to another meaning altogether. For instance, the word ---shar-mouta ie b-i-t-c-h is english is nothing but shaar---bad mouta--death

bad death!!!

I said 80 years ago or even less. This is when Somali men went to Arab universities and Arabic language became the language of the educated.

Somali nomads (aparts from few religous men) never spoke Arabic or wrote their language.

Khuuro: snoring
Khoobaro/Khoobar : dolphin (some might say koobaro)
Kharqad: cloth
Kharash: expense (some might say Qarash)
Khiyaamo: deceiving or tricking someone into something

Bakhti= When animal dies without being slaugtered...This term is specificaly used for the animals...Baktiga ma cuno...

Mayd..is used for humans...when some dies...Waa mayd oo naftii waa ka baxday...

true sister. in arabic animal we use meytata. you can read it in the quran too.
