Incredible how every topic turns into Qabiil bashings.
I will agree that the population demographics of Mogadishu has completely changed as I witnessed during my last visit to Xamar in June 2006.
Heavily densed Daarood areas e.g. Casa Populaire, Xoosh, Macmacaanka Madina, etc. are mostly HG areas now. There were some Daarood families that returned to their homes, but for the most part Mogadishu is heavily populated by Hawiye.
Before the 1991 civil war, HG areas were mainly in Wardhigley, Jidka Mareexaanka, Suuqa Xoolaha, Huriwaa, Cabdalle & Cawaare, etc.

Xamar was pretty when it was run by Daarood. Now that it is Hawiye town it is dirty.

Saddaam
Daarood are noble people. They never advocate for genocide and massacres. That is what separates us from the other, lesser Somalis.

Afbiijo has not been trying to do that. The disgraceful things happening are inter-tribal war between Abgaal and Habar Gidir. The sooner Hawiye stop the anarchy and savagery the sooner Somalia will be back to its glory.

Oddly enough, I never knew so many Marehans returned to Xamar over the years. I don't know how they survived in Moryan city. Probably worked some HG connections or something. I just found out my Aunt ahs been living in a Cayr neighborhood for years in a big house, and nothing happened to her or her family all these years.

There are not more HG in Xamar today. They are back where they belong ----> http://hornafrik.com/Newspage/cadaado.htm

That is what I asked myself too when I returned in '06. I guess the reason Marehan were tolerated in Mogadishu was because of the JVA that they had with Cayr and also because Bare Hiiraale himself was welcomed in Mogadishu by Indhacade and others a few years ago. Out of all Daarood, Ogaadeen & Marehan returned in large numbers.
