Re: Islamization and Arabization
It's totally undersandable because old Arab costume became islamic traditions, also that was an arab pre-Islam custome at the same time.
"Islamization and Arabization come in hand in hand. Islam as a religion is centred at Arabism. It seeks people to divorce their past and adopt Arab customs, behaviour and language, if you want a prove of this just look at most of new converts and countries who came directly under Arab Islamic empire."
you have the answer to your question yet still felt the need to ask. i wonder why?
Seems like people don't realise this.

Re: Islamization and Arabization
Islam is not an Arab religion
the glorious Qur'an was revealed in Arabic for a reason; so that it will stay till the end of times
sure, we need to know some Arabic because we are Muslims first and foremost
but Islam gets us to get rid of the bad culture we have and harness the good culture we already have
if its in contradiction to the word of Allah, then it has to be abandoned, if not, its fine
The Empires were different, Arabic became the principal language. Arab Muslims in the Ummayad dynasty lived more privileged lives, even more than the non-Arab Muslims who were still 2nd class.
The Abbasids encouraged the equality of all the Muslims. Baghdad became a city of so many different people from around the globe. Arabic was the language, but people still brought their customs and languages with them
ANYWAY
Islam is not an Arab's religion. It is for all humans regardless of their background and it is from the time of Adam, alayhi salam, the first Muslim human.
The main reason Arabic survived is cause of the Qur'an itself. Without it, the language would have eroded off in time.

Islam and Arabization are 100% different. Even if they were the same (which there not) the Arab culture of today and the Arab culture of yesteryear is different. This is why I never saw the point of wearing a kofi, cimmamad, khamis, etc. because nowdays the cultural symbolism has taken the place of the application of the Religion.
