Even though it sounds ridiculous, I’ll give u the benefit of doubt. I personally think they’ll dare 2 put on action, till the administration standardize the condition.

Perhaps, other regions are well-heeled as u claimed, but no.1 will actually bother 2 invest on a certain region, when they can grab hold of the loaded region. Take the situation in Jubba and Shabeelle regions as an example. Both are rich with mineral deposits and reserves and can be considered as opulently prolific regions (in terms of agriculture). A lot of clans moved 2 the Jubba and Shabeelle regions 2 gain control and put the available resources in use. Again u begged the question --- “Why did they move 2 Jubba and Shabeelle regions, instead of developing the lands they dwelled in previously”?. Simply --- No.1 wants 2 take a risk, and spend in dribs and drabs, whilst there’s a money-spinning commodity front of him/her (but in this case --- A rich land). That’s why u’ll see kinfolks marching into other lands 2 rummage around 4 better settlements.....

Good point. But, most of the land grabbing was done during the chaos of the civil war and Puntland is a stable region with an army that can protect itself from any other somali attack. So no need for panic.

But we do need competent leaders to make sure anything like that doesn't happen and all resources are put to good use in Somalia and each region specialize in different sectors, that way we don't depend on one commodity.

Thank you. The landgrabbing in the Jubba, Shabeel regions in particular occured during the madness of the '91-94 civil war. Once a REAL, stable Government comes every city will go back to being Somali cities. Well maybe not every city but certainly the two major cities (Mogadishu, Kismayo).
