Actually this is an area that is unclear. Osgtensibly, every Muslim should have to declare his allegiance to Islam at some point (when a consenting adult). But in the time of Mohammed, it as assumed that you would be the religion of your father. The notion of indepedent thuoght on the subject was not widely assumed. However, Mohammed himself said there is no compulsion in religion, meaning each individual gets to make a choice in his life. Your assumption is that only those NOT born into Islam get to make a choice........... this has no support in Islamic Jurisprudence.

El Loco, if that is true, isn’t that going to be like being baptized. I never knew that you have to be born again Muslim and pelages your allegiance after you becomes a consenting adult. If your assertion can be conform as procedure to stay Muslim, well, I think most Muslims forgot to do that and their faith is in questionable status.

Honestly, some of you muslims who are attacking these non-muslims saying that they should be killed would not bring them back to the religion. Instead why don't you try to dialouge and ask why they left the religion and in return they can ask you why you are in the religion, the exchange of ideas and of tolerance is something Islam preaches shirb&fah so follow it.

X.playa and co. why did you guys leave Islam, clearly state your reasons instead of just saying its an arab religion. Because thats not a good reason, Islam means submission, the submission of one to god, Jesus, abaraham, and all other prophets were muslims and they were not Arab. The holy koran is a continuation of injiil, toraat, and subuur. They are all the word of God. Arabs do not make up the biggest Muslim population, indhayars do. What reason do you guys have to leave the religion? One could say that they are against the arabization of Somalis, and are against the adopting of arab culture. Because that is reasonable thing to say, and I believe in that too, but those cultural practices do not represent Islam and one should not define Islam because of that. Now can you guys explain why you guys do not believe in Islam?

I destest the ideology that Islam is the religion of the Arabs. Uffff.. I also hear (in here also) alot when something is pointed out to them, they blame the Alims, the Imams.. Istagfurulah. Allah tells us (if you are a true believer) to never go against the knowledgable amongst us and anyone who makes them an ememy he (Allah swt) will be at war with them. Which says a lot.

Btw, NONE of us were Born Muslim.. that is not true and something people think they are bestowed with and Higher than others. No. we were Born INTO Islam.

...SubxanAllah There are so many stories that just show you this. My OH and I met some guy recently, who converted to Islam only a couple of years ago he said yet he looked and like someone who has been in the religion for ever, MashaAllah he had sooo much knowledge and just this whole character was screaming ISLAM. Basically, his story into Islam..to cut it short was that, through his work he was sent to the Emirates and he was soo against going, that he was prepared to quit his job because it required him to stay there for a long period and because of the way he felt about Muslims and the thought of being in a Taliban country with no alchole, beef, ham etc scared him. So before he went he stocked up on Alchole and got drunk for a whole week or something and even turnt up to the airport drunk.Lool.. He said he remmebers being at the airport thinking Fcuk! Bloody Muslims...Lool. Anyhowwww, he got there did some work, then he went to some small village which changed him, he became more humble and started making great friends with some guys, he said they were the best friends his ever made of his 50yrs and he had only known them for a few days! One day he went walking early morning went climbin on the moutings and heard the Adhan for the first time clearly and he dropped whatever he had and was doing and fell to the floor, he sat/layed there untill the sun came up and he said that was it.. he knew what he had to do. The next few days he started living like a Muslim then shortly converted!! He decided to come back to London and make a fresh start in his new religion here, change the Ummah here that needs it and change peoples views.. InshaAllah. Hope he is Successful.

So you see, he was 50 (i think, he was old) and by the will of Allah.. even at an old age his whole life changed, after so many years living in disbelief!
