Re: IS BOSASO GROWTH IS BECOMING LIKE DUBAI
OK, now that we're talking about sheer size lets move on. In the arena of economic importance, strategic interest and potential Kismaayo is clearly 1-1a with Xamar. Kismaayo is such an important city that any Gov that doesn't control it, basically doesn't control the country. This is why one day when a true Government comes the city will go back to being a Government city as its too importnat. In the meantime I would be thrilled to even have a hand in the city, let alone control it. I personally would never dream about trading Kismaayo for any of those cites, and I know anybody who lives in those cities would trade it in a heartbeat for Kismaayo. 8)

I take it you are Marehan? Marehan got the city as for now, but Its shared city for all other clans. You shouldn't claim the city. You are just running it for the time being and when the government get stronger, you will have to hand to Kismaayo.

Didn't I say it will go back to being a Gov city? Also haven't Harti, Cawaramle, Ogadeen etc. been living in Kismaayo in peace for the past decade?
Governence of the most important cities CANNOT be controlled by clans in the presence of a legitimate Government. It must be ruled by Somalis. That being said, do you think the TFG is legitimate?

So Bosaso is larger and has more people than Kismayo. Is it also cooler than Kismayo? I'm just wondering.

Wikipedia is not my thing, firstly.
Secondly, discussing size is tedious, you have the facts in front of you on the last page, you decide.
But in terms of population, Kismayo district has 1,763 more residents.

And when it comes to weather, you are right, Bosaso is cooler.

Luq, notice how in the image of kismaayo he posted the largest building is a pin prick size, yet in Boosaaso and others he has shown the smallest shack is the size of a pencil's eraser.
Go to map on Google, all of Boosaaso could be fit into ONE neighborhood of Kismaayo.

Kismaayo and Bossaso is comparable. Kismaayo has been the second biggest city pre the civil war. Both Hargaisa and Bossaso are now larger and more developed and thats due to the fact that Kismaayo being a battle ground for the warring Somali clans; while Bossaso and Hargaisa enjoyed a great deal of peace. Bossaso has the potential to surpass every city in Somalia in the next decade or so

Nacnacda hala daayo, war or not Boosaaso is the size of one neighborhood in Kismaayo. The rest of the place are one shack for every 1/4 of a mile.
One neighborhood in Kismaayo

equals all of Boosaaso without the unorganized gaps and make shit shack ever half mile

Re: IS BOSASO GROWTH IS BECOMING LIKE DUBAI
Voltage is becoming more and more of a comedian. Instead of taking a close-up shot of Kismayo and taking a far-away shot of Bosaso, do a credible job.
Here are BOTH cities at 9,000 feet, look at the right-hand corner of each screenshot where it says "Eye Alt."
Bosaso
http://img469.imageshack.us/img469/9787/bosasoji0.jpg
Kismayo
http://img454.imageshack.us/img454/1977/kismayouv3.jpg
NOW, the people can compare. [FYI, I posted this and ALL the "comparable" cities in page 4].
