You're making arrangement marriage look so bad. That is how older generation used to marry. Until today talking to a girl or a guy is a taboo in many old fashioned sociaties. So, the arrangement marriage with a bit fashion touches is the solution. My mother now looking a wife for my 19 years old brother. Every time they go to the girls parents to see her, he doesn't like them. He sais one is short, the other too dark, the other cannot make one full sentences. Of course she cannot beacuse 15 people including her parents uncles and aunties looking at her. We need to find a solution as a younger generation, because I see many good girls without marriage because they go from school to work and no one going to ger to know them.

what the asian community do in the Uk is they have a meeting for all their young professional and you chooce whoever you want to talk to but with people present obviously.It is done in an islamic way.

But it is mainly for professionals i.e doctors, lawyers, Accountants. But then again it does look like an arranged marriage/meeting!!!!!
