I cant belive that am going to agree with Somaliweyn on this but as he clearly stated it doesnt matter if ur family came a 100 years ago to the region u cannot rule a region that ur ancestors are not from. For example there are Marexaan in Borame today but they will never rule the city and a Samaroon from Somali Galbeed has more rights in Borame than him. I know that is wrong but that is the reality of somalia today and we should all head back to our homes and maybe in couple of hundred years we can talk about love and union again.LOL

CO-SIGN.

Each qabiil should govern their regions how they see fit. As long as its majority rules with minority rights.

Yes but what if the majority arent as strong as the Minority. what happens than. To me it seems HG are usually from Mudug and Galgadud and some in Somaliland but than they are selling river water in Low shabbelle as some have stated so that is not fair. Why not sell the water in ur land to ur cousins even though i dont understand what Human would sell water of all things.

"Yes but what if the majority arent as strong as the Minority. what happens than."

>> Sxb in that case the minorities should allign themselves with nearest strong neighbors that are willing to protect their right to self determination.

"To me it seems HG are usually from Mudug and Galgadud and some in Somaliland but than they are selling river water in Low shabbelle as some have stated so that is not fair."

>> Sxb thats because HG and Hawiye in general don't have traditional or political leaders. For example, Habar Gedir alone has over a dozen warlords each looking out for his personal interests.

"Why not sell the water in ur land to ur cousins even though i dont understand what Human would sell water of all things."

>> Sxb thats because Habar Gedirs live in some of the worst parts of the country.

you misunderstand me sxb.i am not against local people must rule their own areas first and foremost. And am also very against that a clan should dominate other clan just because they have more weopon and resources..

today we are all under occuppation, no matter what happenend in the past,we need to focus on ways we can resist and distroy the outside enemy, not to waste energy on fighting eachother about who owns where. Its vital that we must unite. I am not claiming that nothing bad happened in the past, yes unjustice happened ,some of us oppressed our own people, the very same people (victims) that we need their support so much in order to liberate the country from the main enemy. It's time we seek forgiveness and unity, and assure that those horrible things never repeats again.

The answer is not to side with ethiopia, just because this or that clan has been my rival or enemy. We all know ethiopia has allways been intrumental for our division and lack of unity,.we should never let them success.

As for the original residents in the south, they were the one that stood against the italian colonialists and sacrificed blood and everything for the freedom of somalis.they are real patriots, and witout them we can never achieve something today.
Adan I have no quarrel with Habar Gedir or any Somali clan. I have gaalo in my lands, thats a bigger problem to worry about. Lets liberate the land!!!!!!
Shirib,

Do not lisen to incoherent reasoning by those on the wrong side of history.

Yes, Ceyrs occupation of Lower Shabelle is something which must come to an end since no landexpansion/occupation is allowed in Somalia. The same logic applies to their JVA-remnants.

Now, the question is: Can one be against Ceyr's occupation of Lower Shabelle and at the same time against Ethiopia's occupation of Somalia?

Yes, it is a natural argument since no group is allowed to go into another group's lands and occupy it forcefully, displace the groups, destroy their livelihoods etc etc.

What traitors want us to believe: One who is against Ceyrs occupation of Lower Shabelle must be pro-Ethiopia...and pro-puppet regime. Does it make sense? Not really, what does it care to trade one kind of occupation (Ceyrs occupation of Lower Shabelle) for another kind of occupation (Ethiopia's occupation of Somalia). Isn't freedom and security what every Somali group wants? Freedom to chose their own future and govern their own lands/people without interference of other groups....Security to defend the property and people living in their own lands?

Hence, why one should oppose the Ethiopian occupation of Somalia, while at the same time speaking out against the injustices done by particular groups after 1991.
Adan,

That is what I said in my first reply to this topic, which was an advice to Shirib since NoAngst wanted to recruit him to the wrong side of history.

I am glad we have come to similar conclusion as your last post testifies of.
