From what i gathered the term "factions" concludes two groups, Daroods & Hawiye.
Despite the fact that you haven't mentioned them, this concept has a few similarities with some of your previous statements regarding clan war.

You firmly believe that by having the two battle it out, the victor will be the much needed positive drug to dig Somalia out of it's grave and make it blossom into something reasonable?
The problem with this is that the one that forces the other to prostrate will be viewed as being the evil one by the various other groups.
You'd still be in a no win situation.

If i'm mistaken, and you weren't revering to the darood and hawiye,
( highly unlikely), but the TFG and Islamic courts, then even if the Courts would come out victorious, i'd highly doubt they have any leadership qualities.
There's a big difference between leading a small group with nothing but killing the oppressor and its lacky's on their mind than leading a nation justly and have its peoples trust fully intact.
