My uncle is a cabbie in DC, the cabbie license there is free. That Black mayor of the ninties made it free. So I don't think there are companies. They work under the banners of larger groups who operate the operations headworkers to relay calls.

DC there is money to be made.

My other uncle is a cabbie in Minneapolis.
The license down there is about 20K. Pretty cheap compared to here.
But he works for a company.

My other uncle works in Wisconsin. The license in Milwaukee is 70K. He has like 4-5 license. Rent is good. 500 a week to these guys per car. CHA CHING

Theres nothing wrong with riding a cab as long as You're making a living for You and Your family. I think cabs fit Somali lifestyle. Skinnies can't be told what time to come to work and a skinny has to be able to talk on the phone, chew and smoke ciggerettes non stop at His workplace and driving a cab provides all of that. It fits faaraxs lifestyle to a T
