Ashlee, because I don't have family, first familiy, in kismaayo. anagu from Muqdisho to the West 99.99% of my family. Only my mom's dad decided to live in Beled-Xaawo in 1996 and since then lived there where he had 3 kids age 12 and under now. there is a big generation gap between my mom and the uncles I am visiting this summer. Every single one of my dad's siblings and cousins is in the west, and of my mom only her dad who refused to leave somalia and the small kids he have. my grandpa passed away couple years ago (alle hau naxariisto) but the kids are there and i want to see them even though they are coming to the u.s soon, if it wasn't for them i would ahve to go after my mom and dad's sub-clans to visit because i would not have a single close relative left in somalia

Well the thing is because i don't have family there doens't mean i don't have ties. I'll have you know my family owns a good amount of land and ownership is two thirds of claim
