I don't know many divorces, but ones I'v heard has been down to the diin, she wasn't practising. (praying) and She disrepected his family. (Somali women assume inlaws are auto. enemies)

The Reasons women divorce their husbands down to 2 things:

Jaad, Somali women in the west don't understand it at all. For them its a disease.

Work: He not working and she working and managing the family.

I havent seen any man who is married who doesnt work..certainly not the ones I know.
Where is this idea coming from??

Again, here in NA.. we dont have such a thing..maybe 10 ok 20% max of the cases..but the reality is..the overwhelming majority of married couples do work..

That's what I noticed from years of seeing different single mothers. Every single mother I know isn't wifey material when you look at them from all directions. To me a good wife never gets divorced as she would protect her marriage and makes sacrifices just that bad wives don't

its not a simple case of agree/disagree walalo. the reasons why people get divorced cannot be summed up to one cause or rather one party to absorb the blame. there are good women who are divorced..not because they couldn't keep their marriage, but because they were unfortunate enough to marry complete morons who are sorry excuses for husbands..

Divorce is the only Halal thing that angers Allah SW, but it is allowed because continuing such marriage my cause more harm than otherwise. You are right I went through divorce and can comment it.
Everyone is different, what ended my marriage my not end yours or the next guy. There is no Formula that guides you or indicates to you it is the time.

Fault can come from the guy or the girl. Majority of the times woman (especially Somali) will for the slightest reason ask for divorce, but the patience has to be with the man. When you run out of patience like I did, then that is when the divorce becomes RAAXO

Its very common here, man marry without a decent job and lost it very quick.

Plus the walfare system is easy to cheat here, I don't know about US, but here its norm to marry without the state knowing.

Education is an issues as well in the UK, somali girl is more often then not likely to stay till college, where guys leave earlier. Am not saying this is a reason for divorce but its a fact that contributes.
