Hobad is in Balo province, not Awdal. Karanle still live in Balo province, but lately its been overrun by Oromo's. I agree with the rest of your views though

but in Ahmed Gurays historic book - of i forgot was called something it mentioned that those clans that fought alongside ahmed guray were Habar Magado and others - does it say Karanle hawiye fought alongside ahmed guray or does it even mention hawiye in the book?
