I don't know Voltage, it is more than that methinks. 'The war' has numbed them, a lot of the people just don't care. Al Shabaab come they cheer, Islamic courts come, they cheer, TFG & Soliders come, they cheer? Prehaps it is fear of death and love of duniya that makes them this way.

You cannot reclaim your property unless you fight for it! And it will be a tough fight, because if you property lies in somewhere that your sub-clan don't control then thats big problem. Another thing, if theres any inter-clan fighting, you must flee, cause if someone from your clan kills someone from their clan, you my friend are 'xalal' meat as far as their concerned.

Some people choose to not fight for it and whoever takes their property it is up to them, and how they will answer on the day of judgement.

of course, my father has all the documentation in the safe... he has the deeds to even property he has inherited as well

Warsan I was watching a recent documentary in France24 english programme and the guy was saying he has went back to Mogadishu many times before but he has never seen it like this. Even during the Ethiopian fighting he said the city had business, people were going around. Lakin he said now the city is a complete ghost town, and all the people fleeing are promising never to come back. He said it is basically empty buu yiri, quiet dead streets and it is eerie.

I don't think they'll go Hargeisa, waayo the people of Hargeisa love their peace, and they push for governance and peace, my Aunt lived there for a while, and they really do have a different mentality from the people in Xamar. I don't know if its desperation or something else, but the people in Xamar (most) will support every tuug fellow clansmen, iyo anybody that has the power, no matter the haq-daro and wasqnimno of the person. (That is major problem in itself) Add to the fact every 'Mooryaan, tuug, ciyaal suuq' head to xamar you have anarchy at its finest. Then there is 'outside' element that doesn't want peace in Xamar, and rightly so because if 'Xamar' doesn't move Somalia doesn't move.

The people in Hargeisa, don't care about the fact that he is 'reer hebel iyo hebel' and value and want peace and government. I don't see how Al-Shabaab can overtake there.

I want all the people to leave the city, and the 'fighters' should stay, and then someone should drop bombs on these idiots

I don't know how were going to do it, but its extremely difficult to fight an ideology, how do you stop people that are blowing themselves up?

Smart for turning the gauntlet on me. Anigu sxb, when it comes to Somali politics I have analyzed nin-jeclaysi, qabiil u dood siyaasad ahaan, faction supporting are the problem. I am not going to limit myself to Marehan affairs or uphold only to represent Marehan affairs because it is a hollow representation when Marehan themselves and their socio-politico circumstance are a symptom of the greater Somali problem. I am also not going to support a koox/faction or a specific man in politics because representation by Koox is not rooted. It is continuously changing in Somali politics. Look at Shariifka, yesterday he was with the ICU today he is not? Look at reer Puntland, yesterday all of Cadde Muuse's ministers who were boasting about Ethiopian defense of Gaalkacyo yesterday announced their objection to "foreign troops".

Dadkaan meel loo raaco maba leh. As a result my position is thus: a supporter of the Somali people and a critic of all the political actors be they Marehan or not.

If Shiekh Sharif's government has done something commendable with respect to positively influencing the Somali people I will applaud it and if Sheikh Sharif's government does something reprehensible with respect to negatively influencing the Somali people I will comdemn it. Same for all the actors.

I am glad I have been a part of this forum. It has bestowed on me life political lessons and tools in a controlled, experimental fashion that will stay with me for life.

To Somalis, my position today is a critic because it is alien to their group think, herd mentality where you support your partisan group to death even in wrong and you hate the opponent to death even in right. And to be honest I do not see any man, group, or political identity that calls anyone to become a militant follower of them in Somali politics. I wish they would become as enlightened as I have.
