Grant I dont know if you've learnt anything from your time interacting with somalis on snet. But a glaring fact exist that you catch on too after a bit, and that is Darods are the only somalis who cant be objectionable. They will never ever try and see things from another perspective walle. For example you will find many somalis who are openly hostile to somaliland even though its benefits Isaaq alot. You will even find Hawiyes who are not sympathetic to the legendary general mohammed afarah Ayidiid. But you will never ever find a Marexan who will say the truth about MSB and you will never ever find a Dhulbahante or Ogaden who will even entertain the idea the MM might not have been a saint. Thats even after you bring all kinds of prove these people will still not shift from their starting position. Instead they will take it personal and start insulting you...Grant wrote:Sorry, but I have had the same thought for months. It's the same deal and it's going to lead the same place.
How many gaals are there with Somali history books? Quoting them doesn't make you a gaal or even gaal raac. It just makes you knowledgeable. Somali history 101 should begin with "The Invention of Somalia" editied by Ali Jimaale Ahmed, which has two gaal authors. :lol
