Sorry, but I have had the same thought for months. It's the same deal and it's going to lead the same place.

How many gaals are there with Somali history books? Quoting them doesn't make you a gaal or even gaal raac. It just makes you knowledgeable. Somali history 101 should begin with "The Invention of Somalia" editied by Ali Jimaale Ahmed, which has two gaal authors. :lol

What is wrong with this octonogerian white dude and his distortion of our history.

Please read "Mad Mullah" by Ray Beachey. He mentions how not only Dhulbahante but also Warsangeli and Bah-geri (Ogaden) made the bulk of the Dervish forces. There were also Isaaq and Majeerteen Dervishes.

The air raid started from Jidbaale to Midhisho to Badhan and ended at Taleex.

To the Iidoor kid, the Giant Harti clans are well-known with great looks. Don't confuse A co-incidental name borrowed from a Dir group in Ethiopia with our name.
Bal Iidoor dherer sheeganaya. Waa aduunyo gadoon.

The War-like Hartis are not to be messed with.

Grant I dont know if you've learnt anything from your time interacting with somalis on snet. But a glaring fact exist that you catch on too after a bit, and that is Darods are the only somalis who cant be objectionable. They will never ever try and see things from another perspective walle. For example you will find many somalis who are openly hostile to somaliland even though its benefits Isaaq alot. You will even find Hawiyes who are not sympathetic to the legendary general mohammed afarah Ayidiid. But you will never ever find a Marexan who will say the truth about MSB and you will never ever find a Dhulbahante or Ogaden who will even entertain the idea the MM might not have been a saint. Thats even after you bring all kinds of prove these people will still not shift from their starting position. Instead they will take it personal and start insulting you...

Ps, I think I was a bit harsh on Al-Shabab when I compared them to the MM. The big difference between the two is Al-Shabab is not a qabil driven as the MM's crusade was, so in that sense they are a little bit ahead of the backward MM...
