At work surfing the net. Some guy on some forum wrote the words 'A plane had crashed into the world trade centre'. All forumers assumed it was some sort of prank gone wrong. Then things started to get more interesting.

With it being a forum, people were claiming to be IN the world trade centre and were writing all sorts of fake farewell messages to their loved ones. It was such a pretty circus.

I feel as old as Abdulwahab and Skippa now.

I skipped school Sept 10th and called in sick on the morning of Sept 11, so I watched the events unfold in my couch. Thanks to Osama, I'll never get that free day from school again. RIP to the dead. I'm sure the hijackers are regretting the fact that there won't be 72 virgins waiting for them. They got scammed.

In math class, when the most strict teacher started getting emotional out of nowhere and he told us, "this day will change everything from now on", I watched it somewhere else and saw people jumping off the building with their suitcases and shid, man it was depressing, so I turned it off but even though they didnt cancel classes, everybody was zoned out. Then the next day, It was Islamic this and that, some stupid madow lady started wilding out on us like we were responsible.

I was walking through the halls to my business calss. Last year of high school....someone grabbed me (my friend) and took me to the centre hall where the TVs were...and there they replayed it over and over and over again....my entire school was watching the monitors in the cafieria, main halls, calss rooms...everyone speculating who did it.

 Paddington Bear, you know, with all these kids around, I feel like methuselah...but as Sinatra sang:

"if you should survive to 105, Look at all you will ll derive out of being alive
Then here is the best part: You have a head start, If you are among the very young at heart"

I was in Amsterdam having some fun ..it was around 3 P.M when the TVs were turned on and CNN was showing the 2nd plane hitting one of the towers.

Damn you Bin Laden and whomever in the US government who helped him or facilitated for him to commit such acts.

I turned the TV on fairly early in the morning and saw what I now believe was a tape of the first strike. My neighbor was just leaving for work, so I rushed out, got him, and we watched the second strike live together. At that point we knew only that the country was under attack. His reaction: whoever it is, they are so dead...... Neither of us had a clue....

Cawar,

Frankly, I was surprised by the lack of taqiyya in this thread and the extent of the support for the US. How did you, of all people, arrive at your peculiar compromise, and why would both OBL and elements of the US government have to be responsible? :?:

I remember the next day at school having to talk about how we felt about it in 'circle time', as though we were actually traumatised
