I agree with Abdiwahab - President Aden Abdullah Osman transferred power peacefully. He was the first leader to do so at a time where Africa was marred by authoritarian regimes. That feat right there speaks volumes.

A violent Somalia started when Pres. Sharmarke was assassinated.

Aden Abdulle Osman

He was the best national leader Somalia ever had. The sad thing about his legacy is that he died and was buried in Mogadisho while the capital was under a brutal Ethiopian occupation. RIP.

Credit goes to SYL because it was this party that first launched the nation building process.

He should have a State funeral.

AUN Aden Abdulle Osman. He is one of the few African leaders who, when he lost the elections, transferred the power peacefully, he's truly one of his kind.
