It takes very little to turn a Somali man into an alcoholic, his first drink sends him over the edge, but a Somali girl can drink and still exist as a functioning human being. Strange wallahi

Back to the topic.
I know personally some Somalis that drink, but they hide it, and are not brazen about it. So, I've never spoken to them about drinking or confronted them.
I don't have close friends that drink, (not any that I know of anways) I do have friends/acquaintance that drink, but I never really hang around with them. I've been told, do you know so-and-so drinks now. Sad, but there is nothing I can do about it.
I've seen drunk Somalis and Somalis drinking. Wallahi I was so shocked this one time, when we saw this family friend crazy drunk, I asked my brother to follow the 'concerned individual' in the car, till they got home safe.

I've had my first Heineken at age 13. A white class mate of mine told us to come 'round his house as he had a porn tape. Turned out the porn tape was Dirty Dancing the movie.

I know couple people who drink but don't know any that act a fool as you guys are describing. I noticed two kinds of Somalis misuse alcohol the worst. Somali guys between 27-34, what I call civil war guys, and young Somalis street kids (male and female) between 17-21. By all accounts you really got to get hammered to be puking in the street like that.
