All caydiid did was protect his country and its resources from the aggressors The so called Americans

How can a man whose name was synonymous with torture (head of the Torture Department) be a president of an enclave while another, who was simply nominal but never had an instrumental authority is being pursued as if he single handedly caused Hargeisa's havoc.
Sheekadu waxaa weeye "Miskiin baa misko la fuulo leh" Had he hailed from one of the so-
called bigger clans, they would've addressed him as his Highness
Riyaale was a low level snitch, nothing more. He was in no position to dictate the regimes policy in the north. On the other hand ali samatar was afewynes number two, he actually sat down when the decìsion to mass murder innocent civilians were made. Compering Riyole to ali samatar is like comparing a janitor to the second in command of a hospital. Yes they worked in the same hospital but one had far more responsibility then the other.
Also luggoyo usually your wise to darod propaganda but you reason that this man is being charged for being from a minority clan and not because he is the highest ranking individual alive today. We have to start from the top and work our way down.
Ps, if riyale was to be put on trail the whole marexaan tribe would be before him to face justice. Because every marexaan was above general at the time.

Folks,
What is wrong with trying war criminals ? I support trying them all: hawiye, darood, issaq etc etc.
Cali Samatar is just the first case. He lives in the USA, a country of law and his victims live here too.
If he is found guilty, then other lawsuits will be brought against war criminals residing in the USA
No Justice, No Peace !

What's the point of trying to rebuild when they can't even agree on why their country is in this state.
Every person found guilty of crimes against humanity should be put on trial, I personally believe now is the time to rebuild, the rest should be put back until we have a country again.

One thing i've learnt from this thread is somali history is subjective. No such thing as factual somali history, everything is based on an oppinion of events, not noted facts.
As demonstrated in this thread and general somali discussions, we cannot even agree on small aspects of somali history, how the hell will we agree on more important nation building issues?

Nobleman,
I agree with you 150%. Some people here fail to empathize with the suffering of others and only see their suffering without looking into why the tragedy befell them.
If there was no armed persecution of other Somalis, they would have suffered nothing as well.
Injustice is a disease that eventually infects the whole body.

This is a symptom of the Darod problem. The victims of the regime in Somaliland were "rebels" and the victims of the regime in Hiiraan, Bay, Bakool and Jubooyinka were "criminals" against government. The rise to justice and liberation waged by these brave people is "massacre" It is so insulting the read these none sense.

Should this Samatar man go down , no Isaak should be complaining when their SNM father/brother are humiliated and accused of war crimes.
Forgive & Forget or be ready.
Justice for all
