Why are you surprised? Somalis have a huge inferiority complex if this documented and oral history was taught to them as part of GCSE History syllabus then they would take it as gospel. Also remember there is a difference between an 'educated' person (who just regurgitates the stuff they have been taught) and someone who is capable of making up their own mind on the evidence available. No I am not comparing the quran to anything, I am connecting the ahlul bayt to the quran as per for example the hadith thaqalayn (meaning two heavy things, or the Quran and the ahlul bayt).
