There is a major issue with an all powerfull central government. A Government let us say in Garoowe that will borrow 50Billion Dollars in the name of Somaliweyn.

- Each region will demand their relative portion to development. Central government will push through the plan that the capital requires the majority of the investment as it represents our seat of power! :-- War

- Central Government controls the armed forces and they will use force to crush peaceful demonstrators :- War

- Central governement with absolute power will be corrupted, large sums of money will find it's way into foreign accounts :- War

- Region X and Region Y are jealous of each other and the government has to choose which region to build roads in :- War

- A Company proposes to build a new factory in somaliweyn all regions compete to be selected as the location for the factory, as nobody wishes to loose:- War

- Somali mentality/politics is not sufficiently Mature to respect the tough decisions that will be made in a Central government that will not have the luxury to appease all somaliweyn regions simultaneously. If it fails :- War

- All powerfull central Gov. Responsible for somaliweyn economy, Military, Development, education, healthcare, trade, tax requires a people willing to TRUST and OBEY and Follow constitution in a diplomatic manner without violence and without taking personal the tough decisions that will be made on countless matters. Brother Al-Shabaab are not an option they are opportunistic parasites praying on the fear of the masses. You say they have stopped blood shed? They cause more death then that which occured in the choas. They are not an option as they subject their extreme views on all the people and behead anyone that objects. They have sinners amongs their ranks while they are quick to stone to death 13year old girls who are not Adults and are the victims. They behead Christian somalis and there are many who have been raised as christians by orphanages and christians charities. They are subjecting islamic sharia on a people who have not known peace since 1991 many of the people do not even know what sharia ruling is and they have not be warned. Sufficient time was not given to anyone to adjust to the new rules. There has been no effective education since 1991 and these people being beheaded some of them cannot read and may have inadiquate representation during this shot-gun trials. AL-Shabaab have among them Morons who have declared the intent that they will cleans africa of non-believers and the world some day. They are not politicians nor are they a group who can develop somalia. They offer only one thing and that is total chaos and death followed by somalia's segragation from the rest of the globe.

- They may be able to capture the whole of somaliweyn!
- They maybe able to cause sufficient fear in all somalis to make them all act like Wahabi muslims!

They will not be accepted as a political figure representative of Somalihood, specially since it's formation will always be founded on Terrorist roots the likes of Al-Qaida, Hizbullah etc. Let us not be short sighted and allow ourselfs to be fooled or forced into believing these murderers are the salvation of our people. We can do better, a lot better. Let us not sell our dignity and honor on the false promise of peace and equality created by non somali entities with hidden agendas.

Hoowle..answer the question. The 'Islamist' issue is only a few years old as a nationwide problem, what was the problem in Somalia before they took control?
