If they aren’t the majority they have to be the majority in Hargeisa. All the people I knew growing up from Ilma baandey, Ilam Basbaas, Ilama aw ciise kaahin, Ilma Cabdi Calool, QAASIM the poet himself were al Qaasim. The only non Qaasim I met was Waran Cade and my cousin’s wife and her family.
