This is the core problem, nobody today has any ida what is shareeca, and there is no islamist group that knows what they are doing.

This is very true. Muslims in general want Shareeca Law, but they have reduced Shareeca Law to cutting the hands of the thief and stoning the adulterers. Ask any Muslim about Shareeca Law and that's the first thing that props up in their head. This is all that we are shown in the media about Shareeca Law - all we hear about is Iran stoning a woman for adultery, Al-Shabaab cutting off the hands of the thieves etc. This is not all Shareeca Law is about, it's only a very small aspect of it -and are criminals the majority of a society? No, they're usually a minority. So what about the rest of society then? Shareeca Law is for the rest of the people too, and even more so. It deals with business, inheritance, marriage, divorce, livelihood, military etc. The four Caliphs established Shareeca Law correctly, Abubakar under his rule made sure that the Muslim society enjoyed peace and security, when Umar Ibn Khataab came to power he set up the public treasury for Muslims and Non-Muslims alike. Uthman compiled one standard copy of the Qur'an used by everyone - that was his main task during his rule, and Ali dealt with internal Muslim conflicts during his rule. They were not busy chopping off hands and stoning adulterers- under their rule there was hardly any stoning or chopping of hands - because people felt secure and provided for. I agree, it's these Caliphs ( peace be upon them all) that we should be looking up to.

Shareeca Law is just and fair, but the hearts of men are corrupt, except for the few that fear their Lord and apply the Law justly and fairly.
