*and the crowd goes wild*

Ad-vo! Ad-vo! Ad-vo!

But in all seriousness, every situation is different, but since the question is "under any circumstance", Islamically there's a way to discipline your wife and also reasons for doing it. And you only discipline a woman who is worth disciplining. Its spoken about in the Quran, and also here is an example from seerah.
Muhammad b. Qais reported that it was ''A''isha who had narrated this: Should I not narrate to you about myself and about the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him)? We said: Yes. She said: When it was my turn for Allah''s Messenger (may peace be upon him) to spend the night with me, he turned his side, put on his mantle and took off his shoes and placed them near his feet, and spread the corner of his shawl on his bed and then lay down till he thought that I had gone to sleep. He took hold of his mantle slowly and put on the shoes slowly, and opened the door and went out and then closed it lightly. I covered my head, put on my veil and tightened my waist wrapper, and then went out following his steps till he reached Baqi''. He stood there and he stood for a long time. He then lifted his hands three times, and then returned and I also returned. He hastened his steps and I also hastened my steps. He ran and I too ran. He came (to the house) and I also came (to the house). I, however, preceded him and I entered (the house), and as I lay down in the bed, he (the Holy Prophet) entered the (house), and said: Why is it, O ''A''isha, that you are out of breath? I said: There is nothing. He said: Tell me or the Subtle and the Aware would inform me. I said: Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be ransom for you, and then I told him (the whole story). He said: Was it the darkness (of your shadow) that I saw in front of me? I said: Yes. He pushed/struck me on the chest which caused me pain, and then said: Did you think that Allah and His Apostle would deal unjustly with you?

if the situation is that dire and reaches to the point of being chased around by our wife while there are quests and beaten with a sandal i think the best solution is a divorce. she has no respect for her husband i would go and never come back.

Hadiths are the reason why some people leave Islam.

the only two wife beaters I ever came across were an Ethiopian and Egyptian. The Arab was sheik and looked like a taliban. He used to beat up his wife at nite. The Ethiopian was married to a somali woman who used to run away from him only to go back when the violence subsides. I've never seen a known somali wife beater.

I would definitely beat her ass, I mean come on,what was she thinking when she dares to Lay a finger on her husband? If you cant tame your wife then you are one useless dayuus.

Nabeela wrote:I know this subject/topic has been beaten to death on here and all, but still. My question is would you ever hit a woman if she provoked you, or under any circumstances? the main reason I'm asking waa some men show a such great restrain, when put in a difficult situation and some obviously lose control and do some damage, markaa which category do you think you belong to, the former one misa the latter one?

Recently I was at close qarabo's house, when a sudden fight broke out between the husband and the wife. It started with harmless yelling but it slowly turned into physical, the wife started beating the shit out of the husband and chase him around the house with a dacas lol (it was a funny scene) The husband simply walked away when he realized xaalata inaay xun tahay, even though she was hitting him, he never laid a hand on her, gacan baa u tagay.

P.S...I didn't stop the fight because I was in shock :| .
Are you encouraging women to beat up their men?
That is realy stupid for a woman to fight her husband, I mean if she has this tendancy the issue is not that simple but the woman has underlying pyschological issues and would argue men to restrain themselves and need be divorcing her.

I mean what next stabbing you or pouring boiling water on you when you are sleeping?

Nabeela what lesson as a woamn did you learn from this?
I mean This woman has no xishood and is picking up a fight infront of guests. Waxan wa ciyala suqaadh and if It was me then I dont think I would tolerate this character....I wouldnt beat her but will just have to think about the future and how feasible it is to stay with this aggressive lady.
