I remember a few years back a story in a City in the North of England. An HJ woman had a Dhulbahante boyfriend. Most of the town knew about it but turned a blind eye. She was a grown woman after all. One day, her boyfriend beat her so badly that she had no choice but to go complaining to her cousins. The mother of all dilemmas ensued! Do they go and teach this man a lesson he will never forget or do they ignore the whole (or was it whore!) thing?

Well, like you said above, raggo waxay ahaayeen reer Burco and the budh always comes before wisdom. Oh they beat the crap out of the guy and the issue escalated into a mini mafrash war. After two Dhulbahante guys got stabbed and one HJ guy had his face rearranged, the wise old men got involved and sorted the whole mess out.

A few months later, someone reported seeing the Dhulbahante guy sneaking back into the HJ woman’s warm embrace. Nobody batted an eyelid this time.
